One of the many issues that we can consider in the accompaniment is what to say or what to do while we are doing just that: accompanying.

Doubts and fears assail against the silences or pauses. We need a conversation or an activity with which to fill that space.

In this we can learn a lot from animals. I am sure that all those who have pets give me the reason. This ability to attend us, flee although we clearly show that we have had a bad day, put our feet and be happy with just join us. They don’t need to do, or say anything. Simply be.

Here is an example. a beautiful video where a horse can contact a child with Williams syndrome: with respect (see the slow steps with which is exposed) and care (approaching the child stays for a stationary time).
