Hola a tod@s, my dear friends.

As many of you know, in June from 14th to 17th will take place in San Sebastian the 50th National Congress of the Spanish Society of Intensive, Critical Medicine and Coronary Units (SEMICYUC) and the 41st National Congress of the Spanish Society of Intensive Nursing and Coronary Units (SEEIUC).

Today is a gratifying personal to share with you the pannel that IC-HU Project presented to the Congress in September 2014 and which has been accepted by both Scientific Societies. In addition, this cross table has the honour of opening the Congress: something is changing, a clear example of that together we add more.

Entitled “The ICU of the Twenty-first Century : the Human Being in the center” and will be moderated by two members of the IC-HU Project: Pilar Delgado representing SEEIUC and Ángela Alonso of SEMICYUC.

As you can see, we have collated international and national speakers, all of them experts and leaders of opinion in the matter they dominate.

José Manuel Velasco, who will speak of the open door-ICU; Kathy Torpie is coming from New Zealand to tell us the patient experience; Elie Azoulay, Editor in Chief of Intensive Care Medicine focus his participation on families and finally Carmen Segovia will teach us to communicate.

We want a full Kursaal, so we invite all the members of both societies to come to this event, which will not leave anyone indifferent. We are deeply grateful to both Scientific Societies and the rapporteurs and moderators their collaboration to make it possible.

Happy Tuesday,
Gabi
