It is the presentation of a tool of education to help ICU medical residents and that improved communication with families. 

Relatives gave an excellent qualification to 70% of residents trained with this tool, compared to only 40% of the controls.

However, residents were a little more uncomfortable after undergoing training. This is the so-called ‘paradox of education’: once refers to the complexity and an interview with a family social dynamics, remarked that there were many things rather than just give information as we usually do.

The tool has made them more aware of their limitations when it comes to reporting. The tool of education includes: direct education, observation and feedback the information to families in the ICU.
